Rontards plan to hijack the National Convention…

Yes, the Rontards are still at it.
As I went to my Senatorial Convention this spring, I had an eerie feeling when I noticed all of the Rontard bumper stickers that were there in attendance, and how the turn out was in no way a reflection of the actual number of votes cast for Ron Paul in the county. I have to give it to them, they are organized. So, for the past several months now, I have been monitoring some of the communication that is coming out of the Ron Paul camp looking for this very thing.
As far away as a year ago, I began hearing rumors that the poor showing in the polls, and at the ballot box was going to force the hand of the Ron Paul camp to try and seize control of the National Convention by flooding it with Ron Paul supporters, much in the same way they flooded every single web poll, or IM poll during the debates. Not satisfied with Democracy in action, the Rontards would instead take matters into their own hands. The plan would be to take over the Precinct meetings to elect the Delegates for the Senatorial Conventions and in turn affect the Delegate selection all the way up to the National Convention. For this type of “Rube Goldberg machine” to actually happen, every single domino would have to fall the right way.
While I don’t think it is plausible, there will be some serious repercussions if were to actually it happen. Personally, I already feel disenfranchised at the way our current candidate was pre-selected for us before we even got the chance to vote in Texas. The prospect of having to support McCain this election season does not necessarily excite me, but a brokered Ron Paul selection will surely will make matters far worse, and will sink the Republican Party for this election cycle for sure. You think Republicans are angry and want to sit this one out now, just wait until until a brokered convention, and Ron Paul steals the nomination. That will most certainly cause a real revolution.
HOW TO GET RON PAUL NOMINATED - ANYWAY

*This is not the time to back off and just haggle about resolutions and platforms at state and national conventions. It’s time to FIGHT!*

A StrategySome Meetups are already giving up hope, but there is a way for us to get Ron Paul the nomination, and it is absolutely doable.
In a nutshell: If enough delegations *sit out the first and second vote*, McCain won’t get his required majority, and the national convention will become a brokered one-which means anything goes.
There are two main hurdles to accomplishing this:
1. To be even*presented* for nomination, Ron must be able to “demonstrate the support” of a majority of the delegates from at least five states.
2. Getting enough state delegations to sit out the first two votes won’t be easy but it is totally within the realm of the possible!.What depresses so many delegates is that in order to even be selected as delegates to go to the National Convention, they are required by state party rules to sign a pledge that they will “support” John McCain. That is not the end of the story, however.
The only consequence of that is that a delegate’s vote for anyone other than McCain will simply not be counted.
*That’s all!*
There are no legal ramifications for breaking that pledge. There are only possible ethical concerns. These ethical concerns, however, are completely
swept aside by the possibility of simply NOT VOTING the first time around. The RNC’s party rules expressly contemplate and acknowledge that State Delegations may choose to sit out a vote. Rule 37c states:
(c) In balloting, *if any delegation shall pass when its name is called*, then at the conclusion of the roll call all delegations which passed shall be called in the order herein before established. *No delegation shall be allowed to change its vote until all delegations which passed shall have been given a second opportunity to vote*.
That means (a) it’s ok to abstain from voting, and (b) the only consequence is that the passing delegation(s) must be given another chance to vote before any other delegations are released from their pledges.
*The Big Challenge:*
The big hurdle to climb is the requirement of paragraph (b) of Rule 40, which states that in order to even be presented for nomination, a candidate must be able to demonstrate the support of a majority of the delegates of at least five states. Here is the rule:
(b) Each candidate for nomination for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States shall*demonstrate the support* of a majority of the delegates from each of five (5) or more states, severally, prior to the presentation of the name of that candidate for nomination.
The rule does not define what precise “demonstration of support” is required. In other words, it is not necessary that Ron Paul must have won a majority of the “beauty contest” (popular primary) vote in five states in order to be entitled to all their delegates.
What is a demonstration of support?
A candidate can ask that the delegations of five states where he believes he has enough support be polled by roll call so as to enable him to demonstrate that he has the support of a majority of delegates then and there at the National Convention.
That means we have to get to work on the delegates of each state after the state conventions are over.
Many Republicans hate McCain, or at least dislike him.
There is a huge arsenal of issues on which McCain has exposed himself as a sell-out to conservative Republicans: national sovereignty, free speech (McCain/Feingold), amnesty, guns, abortion you name it, he has voted against conservative values on these.
There is also evidence he “sang” in Vietnam, costing untold numbers of his fellow POWs their lives.
It should not be too difficult to convince conservative delegates not to vote for him with that evidence especially in light of the fact that the party rules explicitly contemplate the “passing” of votes by state delegations!
*The Strategy:*
The strategy therefore must be to get as many Ron Paul delegates selected to represent their states at the National Convention.
That means our delegates need to stay low- key.
Resolutions are a dead giveaway, especially when they are fought over things like opposition to the war, or abolishing the Federal Reserve and the IRS, all signature issues of Ron Paul.
So, the best plan is to shut up, move along, do what you have to do to get selected, sign the pledge to “support” McCain (it doesn’t say you promise not to abstain!) and just get in short of outright lying, of course.
If there are any ethical concerns about this supposed “stealth tactic”, think about what ethical concerns you may have if you allow McCain to become president by your inaction.
Old guard Republicans may complain about supposed “stealth” or deception-but what is it their preferred candidates do when they swear in their oaths of office to “support and defend” the Constitution and then do the opposite?
What is more unethical?
What is more damaging to the country?
What is more destructive of the very foundation of our government and our way of life?
My question is: As long as there is even a sliver of a chance to get Ron Paul the GOP nomination why give up??
*Why resign yourself to debating endlessly about the fine points of endless party resolutions and platforms knowing they are routinely ignored, anyway?*
These party honchos and their favorite sell-out candidates constantly ignore and violate even our Constitution! What makes you think they won’t utterly ignore whatever provisions we manage to get into the national party platform?
Is that worth the price of being spotted and “marked for death” by the party honchos at the state conventions? I don’t think so.Not when you consider what’s really at stake.
So, please, please, *please *don’t give up! Ron Paul still has plenty of fight left in him at his advanced age. Why shouldn’t we?
Let’s fight for what’s *important* (Ron Paul *winning*) - not for what routinely gets ignored!

So, in a word, rules are meant to be broken. After all, Rontards are sooo much smarter than the rest of us. They are entitled to have Ron Paul as the Republican nominee. So what, you loose a little integrity. No big deal, they’re just cheating the entire Democratic process and disenfranchising the whole of the Republican body that did not even consider Ron Paul. You tell me, what is right about a Candidate who may have only gotten 5% (and I’m being very generous here) of the popular vote walking away with the nomination. This is, in and of itself, exactly the problem we have in Washington. There is no integrity around, anywhere, and this even includes you Rontards. It’s is time we stand up for our principles, stand up for integrity, and expose the liars, the cheats, and the disingenuous.
The writer then ends the message with the following quote
Posterity–you will never know how much it has cost my generation to
preserve your freedom.
I hope you will make good use of it.John Quincy Adams
Now I thought that Rontards were well versed in history. Two things with this quote trouble me. First of all, I know it is easy to confuse the two, but John Adams is the actual source of this quote, not John Quincy Adams. The quote actually comes from correspondence between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson in the twilight years of their lives. These letters have been the subject of several books, and the current mini-series appearing on HBO. Besides the fact that the quote is attributed to the wrong Adams, the Adams that the writer chose to hold up was John Quincy Adams author of the Tariff of 1828, also known as the Tariff of Abomination. It intrigues me that he would choose someone who was such a supporter of big government .
On this note, I will leave you with the following quotes from John Adams:
“There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.”
“Statesmen, my dear Sir, may plan and speculate for Liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the Principles upon which Freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free Constitution is pure Virtue, and if this cannot be inspired into our People in a greater Measure than they have it now, They may change their Rulers and the forms of Government, but they will not obtain a lasting Liberty. They will only exchange Tyrants and Tyrannies.”
“The science of government it is my duty to study, more than all other sciences; the arts of legislation and administration and negotiation ought to take the place of, indeed exclude, in a manner, all other arts. I must study politics and war, that our sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. Our sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history and naval architecture, navigation, commerce and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry and porcelain.”
“There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.”
“What do we mean by the American Revolution? Do we mean the American war? The Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations… This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution.”

Based on what I’ve read in several articles, the whole thing is that the Ron Paul people have been playing by the GOP’s own rules. In some cases, the problem has been that the GOP has been changing the rules in the middle of things amongst other things that haven’t been quite fair. Ron Paul is a true conservative Republican thats supposed to represent the Republican party. What we have now isn’t anything like that as far as I can tell. There’s nothing or hardly anything conservative about it. We are headed towards socialism whether anyone thinks so or not. Socialism is usually the next step after capitalism because once the government gets bigger and bigger, its gets more and more control over everyones lives. It doesn’t matter if its a Ron Paul or a Hillary Clinton or whoever giving the message, we should be listening to it. Why the GOP has decided to ignore Dr. Paul is beyond me. It would be in their best interest to start listening to him I think.
April 22nd, 2008 at 2:24 pm
The only thing that Ron Paul has going for him is his fiscal policy, however his actions in Congress do not necessarily prove that out either (pork, earmarks, Gulf shrimp). Beyond that, he is stark raving idiot. His ideas on foreign policy are downright dangerous (ostrich defense policy). Why do you think that he has not gotten any traction in the Polls.
It amazes me the depths that Rontards will sink to. You all have no more integrity than Obama, Hillary, or Bill Clinton. The lack of integrity from the Ron Paul camp is staggering. From the gameplay of the internet and text message polls, spamming, false domains, and everything else they have pulled over the course of the last year, you guys get down and roll around in the slime with everyone else. So you guys can stop with the “holier than thou” crap.
By the way what makes you guys, the 4%, more important than the rest of the 96% of the party? Sure, we’re not happy with McCain, but out of the lot of idiots we have running, Ron Paul certainly is not on our list here. I’d vote Hillary first (and that notion, is completely disgusting to me, and I think I might have even vomited a little), at least she seems to have some balls, more than we can say for the neutered Ron Paul.
You claim that things were not fair when it came to the Ron Paul campaign. Certainly you don’t believe that it is all a conspiracy. If so, how do you freaking sleep at night. Typical, this is the one common thread I have seen come out of the Ron Paul camp ‘paranoia’.

hello rino just wanted to have a civil rap with ya as im for sure a ron paul supporter and of course i understand your not and your really not a fan of mccain as you state in your own words. lets get down to a few every day living facts, are ya enjoying your dollar in your wallet being eroded every day as the dollar keeps falling and buying less and inflation starting to rear its ugly head at the grocery store?? well watch ron paul stand up to fed chief bernanke and take him out by the toolshed on numerous you tube videos hey rino i dont see any other canidates trying to take on the fed and there hideous policys of failure can you imagine john mccain trying to deal with a conversation with bernanke on economics duhhhhhhhhhh as mccain doesnt stand a chance on economic issues as the good dr. blasts him off in the weeds, i mean even more unreal can you imagine mccain debating dr. paul on economics heh heh mccain would be another toolshed victim and he might just learn something from the good dr. just a fact rino not even a thought just order dr. pauls new book manifesto as its climbing up the best seller list it may enlighten you sir i mean of the two who do you want going to bat to help out your declining dollar bill as the answer seems pretty simple to me as the economic advisors mccain has lined up is a true joke dr. paul can at least get us going in the right direction as mccain is a sure loser in the economic battlefield dont you think this is a tad important to your wallet? look at the squeaky clean record of dr. paul the past 30 years as he is what he is a honest constitution loving american how can you say that is a bad thang???? look at the skeletons hanging in mccains closet as he has a graveyard full that will be exposed down the road i mean if you match up these 2 canidates logic dictates who is the better man here as dr. paul wants to stay out of our lives and give us more of the sweet taste of freedom!!!!! is that such a bad thing???? bottom line the media has done a good job of keeping paul under wraps but as each month goes by and the economy gets worse and more of our civil libertys are eroded the more steam dr. paul gains as the media can only do so much to suppress his message. he is making inroads and progress as this is a monster process to get the rudder of the ship in the right direction as bush and cheney have disgraced the constitution. just facts rino and no matter how ya spin dr. paul he is a sensible logical choice no matter how the media downplays him, this man has a plan and has massive knowledge of how our system works he may not make it this round but he has awoken a sleeping giant of freedom loving americans that are starting to put 2 and 2 together sir, this explains the unreal support of die hard ron paul fans across the nation as ron paul and his supporters just want to get back to how our country used to be which is prosperous and freedom from foolish laws and quit policing the world thats why you will see ron paul delegates in your sleep they are on a mission, show me some mccain supporters with that much fire rino, sorry you wont see it as dr. pauls honesty and logic wades thru mccains lethargic campaign, my whole thrust of my conversation is not to change you but at least look at some simple facts and try a different perspective from the ron paul side point of view as we all want the same thing more prosperity and more freedom, regards red

Your wallet, and the content thereof, will eventually be worth nothing, even with a Ron Paul Presidency. I have said it before, on fiscal issues Ron Paul in ‘on the money’. But do you read the news, have you noticed how Europe is slowly succumbing to Islamofication, and the same tactics that have been successful there are starting here. Or that the same media you claim to be ignoring Ron Paul is ignoring the facts about Iraq, it’s ties to OBL, and the evidence of weapons of mass destruction. The next President will most likely have to deal with nukes and Iran, who by the way “want to bring on the final battle’, so they can convert the world. On the home front, we are flush with a disaffected population that has no regard for our laws, language, culture, or national sovereignty. We have trade policies that are one-sided, and soon unregulated/un-inspected Mexican trucks will be killing our citizens, and tearing up the roads that I helped pay for. But you don’t hear much from Ron Paul on immigration, and he’s pro-trade (i.e. Pro NAFTA). And about the Congressman, this is the same guy who wrote the request for ‘earmarks’, but voted against them. But it is a ponzi scheme, he votes ‘no’ while his buddies pass it. Ron Paul then gets to tell his constituents “Look, I voted no on a spending bill, I’m the taxpayers best friend”. A man of integrity, which all of you Ron Paul supporters claim Ron Paul to be, would have never asked for the earmarks in the first place.
To John McCain’s credit, he knows enough about the economy to know that the Bush tax cuts did not mean a whole lot unless Congress put a plan together to cut spending at the same time. This is why he voted against the Bush tax cuts, there were no spending cuts, or spending caps for that matter.
I think I’ll pass…
See the above mentioned response about “Porky the Paul” and his ‘earmarks shuffle’.
And about those skeletons, there’s that whole separatist/racist newsletter he used to put out, and blatant racist and Anti-Semitic remarks. He takes campaign donations from known white supremacist, and pimps. And when he is outed, he doesn’t give the money back. Do you know where his money is invested? Mining stocks and gold commodity brokers, so why wouldn’t he preach economic ‘doom and gloom’ from the rafters and want to get back on the ‘gold standard’. When it all hits the fan, you could have all the gold in the world, the only real currency will be bullets. So, I’ll bet Ron Paul has a hard time finding a place to put his shirts without having to move his own skeletons around.
Nonsense, the media doesn’t talk about him much, but when they do it’s all ‘rosie’…
Thank you for making my point for me, I again direct you to above mentioned response about “Porky the Paul” and his ‘earmarks shuffle’. He sure knows how to work the system all right…
Yep, all 4 percent of them…
So sit back, and burn another one dude, and be sure to change the bong water every once in a while. And you can rest assured, Ron Paul will be able to trot our his favorite legislation, Hemp Farming, for at lest 2 more Congressional classes. Because for now his Presidential aspirations are over. I have no doubt the Ron Paul kool-aid drinkers will be back again in four more years, and we’ll still be here, standing in the gap, defending conservative values, and fighting off the Libertarian hordes trying to invade the Republican Party.
And by the way, that big L stands for something, Liberal, which if in case you didn’t know already, is the first part of the word Libertarian.
April 24th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
hello rino well thanks for your response as most of you folks do is deflect from the main issues as usual as follows, 1st i dont care about capitals and puncuations as that is a very mundane point in my opinion as im 51 years old before computers and for sure not a individual that places a lot of merit on that issue as the most important issue is where are we headed with our economics and our libertys as i dont profess to be an expert writer. i will on purpose keep typing like i have always done as i will do things as i want and this is the way it is rino very simplistic, now on to more important issues as you call me a bong swilling individual, yes ive had my day with a few tokes as most folks from the 70s enjoyed it to the utmost much less harmfull than a marlboro light as ya should try it as it might make ya breathe a tad better and expand your upper medulla heh heh as i dont engage in the activitys much anymore as i run a buisness and them fun and games are long gone dont have time for it, i dont know where your head or logic is but hemp farming is one of the most sensible things as you must be very uneducated on that issue as most other countrys on this planet have normal legal cultivation of this low thc weed as the benefits are unreal as it gives a huge boost with their economic activity as they are reaping many economic dollars just research it rino do your homework. as a matter of fact we are laughed at by other countrys for not having this a legal operation as it was legal for many years and the usa benefited from it before the randolph hearst years in the 1930s. common knowledge on that issue to protect the slimy duponts and hearsts own timber empire etc not enuff time to address that issue as its another animal. bottom line the north and south dakotas are trying to battle the wretched dea on this issue as we speak as there are many folks in this nation that understand the benefits of hemp as it does not destroy our enviroment. good lord rino i would think you would know about this as if not what an uneducated closed minded individual you are. there were more baby boomers born in the 1956-57 era and there is a ton of folks with my same logic on the hemp and they are becoming more aware of this situation as you are the minority and we are the majority sorry dude but thats the way it is as this situation will change at some point and time as there is more good than harm for sure. these type of folks are common across the usa and as many states like 13 at my last count have made medicinal marijuana legal in their state so facts say the movement is going on weather ya like it or not nuff on that issue rino. as far as ron paul a racist what a lame weak excuse folks have heard this stand before and have just laughed at that issue rino very weak there as nothing but bullshit sir he hates and condones such activity so ill disagree with ya any day of the week on that one very lame. next subject porky the paul this one is not even worth answering as that is just sewer funk coming from your mouth on that one. its even giving me a laugh what a joke!!!! heh heh as far as 4% you can state that figure as i know you deep down wish it was only 4%!!!!!! but guess what we are long gone done with vote results from this tainted country with diebold etc. another joke. here is the bottom line rino mccain is not the answer no matter how ya want it to be. as i said paul may not make it this round but the fact is he has caused the gop and who ever else a mylanta moment as the movement is going to move much stronger than ever anticipated rino. things in the usa in my 51 years have in my opinion never been this bad as there is a lot of things in place that are 1st time scenarios like our huge debt horrible potential liberty sucking laws etc etc. i mean dr. paul i think has a lot more to help get things going in the right direction much more positive than negatives as your lame negative words dont make a dent in the good doctor, sorry rino you are not very convincing in your answers just usual weak evasive lame bullshit, regards red

Hey Red,
How do you feel about Mall security guards? Last time I checked your boy feels very “highly” about them.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:45 am
so red: lemme take a shot at using your style of prose lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit lame bullshit…. gee wasnt that fun
Being 51, is no excuse for being illiterate or lazy. It is so typical of you Rontards to overlook the foibles of your own candidate. He is a liar and a bigot, and you really can’t prove otherwise. He and his staffers may try to wiggle out of the racist remarks written in his name, if not even by his own hand. Whether he wrote any of that newsletter piece disparaging blacks or not, it still went out with his letterhead on it. As for the pork, take the rose colored glasses off, and actually look at Ron’s record, instead of just regurgitating like a Rontard talking points kool-aid fountain.
And your justification of the Hemp Legislation, that’s just another lame libertarian attempt to legitimize marijuana. They say THC makes you lazy, I guess you’re case in point.
Here’s an idea for you libertarian libtards, run your you own candidate in your own party. Oh, wait a sec, Ron already did that, and lost then too.

Rontards plan to hijack the National Convention……
John McCain [he means, what a good time for me and my fellow propagandists who support him] and to hint, as did Michael Leahy in a major piece [oh yeah, it was a major piece, man! Major!] in the April 20 Washington Post, that we should ……
